The City of Centennial is dedicated to providing a well-maintained street system to ensure safe transportation for the public. 

The City's street network consists of 500 miles of paved public streets. A computerized work management system logs service requests, creates work orders, schedules maintenance work and documents work completion. The department utilizes a pavement management system to evaluate the condition of the street network and prioritize maintenance and rehabilitation work.

Street maintenance operations include:

  • Street patching - Pothole repair
  • Curb, gutter and sidewalk repair
  • Mowing and debris pickup - Right-of-Way maintenance
  • Snow and ice control on arterial and collector streets - Snow and ice control
  • Sign, signal and pavement striping maintenance
  • Street sweeping
  • Bridge maintenance
  • Street rehabilitation - this service is for streets requiring more than the maintenance operations listed above, such as slurry seal, mill and overlay or reconstruction. Learn more about the streets scheduled for rehabilitation activities in the City.

The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) maintains the state highways listed below. Maintenance requests may be made to CDOT by calling 303-757-9514.

  • I-25
  • Parker Road (State Highway 83)
  • University Boulevard (State Highway 177)
  • Arapahoe Road east of I-25 to Parker Road (State Highway 88)
